About the Jiwaji University
The
Jiwaji University of Gwalior came into the presence on 23 May 1964, by the
Madhya Pradesh Government Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. The foundation stone was
laid by then President of India, Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan on 11th
December 1964. The University has a vast campus which is spread in over an area
of 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. The generous donation was made
by the Scindia family, in particular, the late Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje
Scindia and Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia.
