About the Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya

Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) was established in 1964 at Indore under an Act of L.A. of Madhya Pradesh. Formerly known as the Indore University, the DAVV is one of the premier universities in the central part of India. The University was renamed after Malwa’s great and benevolent ruler, Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. The Indore division has 54 development blocks. 153 colleges in total, which offer various UG and PG courses and also some research and doctorate level courses, are affiliated with the University. The University campus accommodates 6000 students while the colleges affiliated with it are 1, 20,000.
